Our client, a supportive car dealership offering training and career enhancement based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire are recruiting for an experienced Motor Vehicle Technician to join their team.

Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Workshop Controller; you will be trained and supported to maintain and repair of a range of motor vehicles
- Working to ensure the highest standards of customer satisfaction; by performing a ‘first time fix’
- Keeping the service team and internal workshop informed of expected timescales of completion of the repair and timescales
- Using the Vehicle Health Check as a guide; identifying any additional work required and informing the service department
- Attending Training courses and completing online training to keep up to date and supported with working towards gaining manufacturer certifications
- Following the instructions on the job card and reporting any additional work required
- Maximising customer satisfaction by working as part of a team
- Working to a high standard and within manufacturer guidelines; maintaining quality standards and customer service; as well as following health and safety guidelines at all times
- Ensuring accurate collection and recording of customer data in line with company standards
Requirements
- Good technical skills and knowledge is what we are really looking for…
- A successful track record within the role, Level 2 or 3 certifications in Motor Vehicles
- Dealership or Independent Garage experience in the motor industry
- Have your own set of Tools (a Built in Toolbox will be provided to store your Tools; and Specialist tools will be available for use)
- Recognise and value working in a Team to provide the best levels of service
- Familiar with working on a range of models of cars in an accurate and efficient manner
- Focus on delivering high standards of customer service and a first-time fix
- Participate in training and open to new ways of working to enhance quality and performance
- Full, UK Driving Licence and Eligibility to work in the UK
The Salary
A competitive base salary ranging from £34,000 to £50,000 dependent upon skillset, with the opportunity to earn a monthly bonus, guaranteed for the first three months whilst you settle and the opportunity to earn a “Super Bonus.” You can also participate in the company car lease scheme, offered at a preferential colleague rate; along with a range of company benefits.
