HGV/Commercial Vehicle Technician
Reading & Heathrow Areas * £45,000 Basic DOE + Realistic £64,000 OTE * Training & Career Progression
An excellent opportunity has arisen for experienced HGV/Commercial Vehicle Technicians to join established workshop operations across the Reading and Heathrow areas. We are seeking skilled technicians with experience in diagnostics, servicing, repairs, and maintenance who take pride in delivering high standards of workmanship within a fast-paced workshop environment.
Applications are welcomed from technicians at both service and diagnostic level, including experienced HGV professionals returning to the industry.
The Role
Responsibilities include:
- Diagnostics, servicing, repairs, and routine maintenance
- Fault finding using manufacturer-level equipment
- Completing repairs efficiently and accurately
- Working to manufacturer and health & safety standards
- Completing workshop documentation and job cards
- Supporting workshop productivity and quality standards

Candidate Requirements
Essential:
- Previous HGV / commercial vehicle technician experience
- Strong diagnostics and fault-finding skills
- Good understanding of workshop health & safety
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Desirable:
- Level 2 or 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- HGV/LGV/PSV licence
- IRTEC Accreditation
- Manufacturer training or accreditation
