Motor Vehicle Mechanic
Location: Heathrow, West London
Salary: £51,900 – £55,900 + overtime + benefits
Shift Pattern: Rotating early/late shifts across a 7-day operation (with scheduled days off)

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Mechanic to join a high-performing engineering team within a safety-critical, highly regulated environment.
This role offers a move away from traditional automotive work into a more varied and technically engaging setting, supporting a diverse specialist fleet, with full training provided.
The Role
You will be responsible for maintaining the reliability and availability of a specialist fleet, carrying out both planned maintenance and reactive repairs in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance
- Fault diagnosis using both electronic and manual methods
- Reactive repairs to minimise operational downtime
- Maintaining high standards of safety and compliance
What You’ll Be Working On
- A diverse range of specialist vehicles and equipment
- A technically varied environment beyond standard automotive work
- Ongoing training and development across multiple asset types
About You
- Experience as a Vehicle Mechanic (Car, LCV, HGV & varied mechanical and electric)
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
- Good working knowledge of diesel and mechanical systems
- Comfortable working in a busy, professional workshop
- Exposure to hydraulics, electrical systems, or plant equipment is advantageous, but not essential.
Requirements
- NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent qualification
- Full UK driving licence (maximum 3 penalty points)
- 5-year verifiable employment history (HMRC record required)
- Right to work in the UK and ability to obtain security clearance
